Is Getting A Dry Scalp Normal After Using Ulesfia?

We used Ulesfia to treat lice on my daughter. Just finished the 2nd week treatment this past Friday (4/25). I was combing thru her hair earlier today with the lice comb, looking for any lingering nits. She had a bunch of white flakes in her hair (mainly around scalp or close to it)…everything would fall right out when I flicked it. I am assuming this is dry scalp…is this common with Ulesfia? Most of the flakes won t even come out with the lice comb. She is not one to typically have dry scalp at all! any suggestions to help get it out…already had her wash her hair with head and shoulders.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

Perhaps the flakes are of seborrheic dermatitis rather than medication. I suggest a ketoconazole based shampoo.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
