Is Frequent Urination, Nausea And Morning Sickness Caused Due To Contraceptive Implant?

I ve had my implant in for two years now and had no problems for 15 months. I m a student nurse and when on placement got a UTI. The symptoms cleared on their own but since have recurred frequently (I d never had a UTI before). I have also had spotting, nausea which feels like morning sickness and currently have frequent urination with discomfort beforehand,the feeling of needing to go often, urethral irritation and very tender, often painful breasts. In general I feel run down and have had the odd bout of mood swings (very unusual for me). Please could you tell me if this sounds like an implant with my contraception or something more sinister? I have one monogamous sexual partner., Thank you for any help.

You are thinking too far, which is happens with all individuals slowly being introduced to medicine. Don't worry about it and don't think so far off.

Your symptoms sound like they could be due to a simple UTI and for the same I would recommend a urine examination. But please also note, in all cases with recurrent UTIs there is some underlying cause. If your UTIs started after the implant insertion or after sexual contact with this particular partner, either one of them could be the cause for the infections. If not, then other causes will have to be considered and ruled out.
