Is Flying Safe Post Appendix Removal?

Hi, thank you for looking at my question. My 8 year old boy had laparoscopy to remove his appendix 12 days ago. The appendix didn t rupture prior to removal, and the operation and recovery went smoothly. Is it safe for him to now fly? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for using HCM, I understand your concern and will try to give you my medical advice, always is a risk to fly before 10 days with any abdominal surgery because the pressurization can lead to some complications but after 10 days is safe, I just recommend you to wear a girdle ( no too tight) under his clothes. I hope that my advice has been helpful, take care
