Is Fever,vomiting And Stomach Pain Sign Of Chronic Appendicitis In Kids?
I suspect my 11.5 year old daughter has "chronic" appendicitis. Pediatrician thinks it is stress. I do not.
.Records of Riley's stomach pain
Summer 2009 (apx.). Stomach pain. Went to wbmc. Ultra sound And ct scan. Iv antibiotics given Scheduled for appendectomy, surgeon cancelled.
Several occurrences through the next 18months. Not as severe.
Jan. 2011, mid-day, stomach pain umbilical area then moving to rlc. Evening. Pain worse, vomiting 100 fever. Pain and fever continued all night. Called dr in am. Triage nurse told us to go to er. Went to wbmc. Ultra sound and ct scan. Dx....mesenteric adenitis.
Several occurrences next 4 months some more severe with pain, fever, vomiting and nausea.
Pediatrician ordered allergy panel and did food testing. Have ruled out food as cause
It is now may 31. Just recovered from another episode. Lasted from sat eve until Monday am. Pain, nausea, and fever. The episodes seem to be occurring more frequently. Apx every 2 to 3 weeks.
