Is Fever Common During Teething In Infants?

Hi my name is evelia my 7 month old baby felt from bed a couple of days ago and she s been having high tempeture since before she felt...but it comes and goes what is the best thing to do because one day she s ok the next days she has tempeture again ....its it because she s teething???

Hi...the fever could be a trivial or simple viral illness and is not related to teething or fall from the bed.

I will tell you how a viral illness behaves so that you will feel more confident about the kid.

Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
