Is Extraction Of Tooth Advisable While On Boniva IV?

I have three bottom front teeth fall out but they need the roots pulled out ..I take Boniva iv last one was 12-16 14 ,do I have anything to worry about because only 1 dentist in town will do it the rest said no they cant because of the bonvia YYYY@YYYY ..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain yes, it is true that dental extraction is avoided when you are on Boniva i.v as it is a bisphosphonate used to treat Osteoporosis and extraction is avoided as it can cause bone loss, osteonecrosis of the jaw bone that can further become fatal than being useful..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get a proper evaluation done and only if it is mandatory to extract the tooth and if the bone density is found appropriate then only you can be advised extraction of the tooth otherwise it has to be avoided..
