Is Excessive Salivation A Cause For Concern?

Can excessive salivation be a sign that something is seriously wrong with you, related to alcohol consumption? Not immediate, but accumulated everyday over time. Im a 29 yr old female. Have been drinking around 12 ozs of wine or more almost everyday for a while. Im about 5 7. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,

Excessive salivation could be result of neurological disorder, consumption of certain medications, or alcohol, allergic reaction, salivary gland disorder, i would suggest you to get a checkup done by a Dentist see if there is presence of any infection or salivary gland disfunction, take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses, maintain a good oral hygeine.

Hope you find this as helpful,

Take care!
