Is Duvadilon Safe In Pregnancy?

Gud evng Dr.I am suffering frm too much AFI level 25.7.once Dr.drained the fluid when it was 27 cm.now my 33 week is gng on.I had taken duvadilon for two weeks.after draining agn it produce so till 36 weeks can I take duvadilon.Is it safe for me and my baby?

Hi, I understand your concern..
Duvadilan is the brand name of isoxuprine which is a tocolytic to prevent premature labour. Since amniotic fluid is drained there is high chance for going into preterm labour, so its better to take these drugs. There is no known side effects in the fetus. You can take this drug till 37 weeks and then stop it as the baby have reached term. Take adequate rest to prevent sudden rupture of membranes.. Dont worry.. All will go well. Good luck.
