Is Duphaston Recommended For Bleeding During Pregnancy?

Hello. I recently found out I was 6 wks pregnant only to start bleeding some days ago. Doctor prescribed a variety of medicines including Duphaston which I recently found out is banned in the UK and USA. First doctor prescribed a dose of 10mg tablets, three times a day which I finished last night. My gyno now has advised I continue with the duphaston twice a day for the next month. Is this ok seeing as its banned? How does duphaston affect me and my baby especially? If its not safe, any other recommendations for safe meds?

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Duphaston is basically a progesterone which helps in implantation and attachment of the baby to the uterus and thus is routinely prescribed in pregnancy.
It is safe for both the mother and baby and thus keep taking it in prescribed doses.
Take care. In case you have other questions you can contact me directly on http://bit.ly/drmanishajain
