Is Diagnosis Of Subserosal Fibroid On Anterior Wall During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?

Hi I am Kal and 24 years old. I am 4 weeks pregnant and have been identified with subserosal fibroid on anterior wall having a size of 3 cm × 3 cm. I got married 4 months back and this is the very first time for me to get pregnant. What do you say about its implications on pregnancy and what is the treatment?

Hi,

Mostly small fibroids do not interfere with pregnancy. You can continue with pregnancy, while you are under expert check up periodically. It's size and symptoms after delivery would be studied to assess its need and mode of treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
