Is Depression Due To Norco Intake?

Hi, I have herniated discs, that has been ongoing, and a concussion that has caused severe headaches, and a deviated septum from a car accident, however, I get prescribed Norco 5 mg, and that s fine, it just takes the edge off from pain so I can work, and sleep, even though i sleep on a recliner, because i can;t lay flat. But I feel that I am feeling depressed, more so then I lead on to my Dr. because I;m afraid that she ll take the only relief i get away, do to me feeling down. i feel down because my quality of life isn t well, I can y play with my kids, or exercise, so i m gaining weight, so I feel like I need to tell her, But I m scared to admit that i m depressed. Please help. thanks,

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may need to increase the dosage because the body gets used to narcotics . Also to lower the dose or stop it is difficult because it has withdrawal symptoms. You may profit from psychotherapy and also physiotherapy. Also you meet a dietitian to lose weight. I think you should talk to your doctor for better solutions.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
