Is Delay In Period A Sign Of Pregnancy?

Hi, I ve been taking Althea Pills and I just ended my last pill last Sept. 22. After my 7 days pill-free, I forgot to take the first pill on Sept. 30 and I ve taken 2 pills on Oct. 1 to recompensate on my forgotten pill. I should ve my period on Oct. 4 but until now I don t have it. I had unprotected sex last Sept. 29. Is it possible that I m pregnant?

Hi dear thanks for writing to Healthcare Magic!!
According to your details you had unprotected sex in last phase of the cycle plus you are on contraception so both factors reduces the chance of pregnancy, but slight delay is possible on patient on Oral contraceptive Pills as it causes hormonal changes. If problem persists then you should checkout for the cause of delay periods which includes stress, hormonal imbalance, hypothyroidism, ovarian problem etc, but now wait for few more days if its get delayed by more than 10 days then consult gynaecologist once.
Hope this information helps
Thanks and regards
