Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear sir/ Madam
Thanks for your query.
12 minutes of exercise capacity on Bruce protocol without any symptoms for any individual at 43 years of age is very good. If your TMT is positive next step is imaging based stress test i.e. stress ECHO or Stress thallium scan. If there was chest pain or undue shortness of breath, then next step is coronary angiogram. A lot depends upon the actual ECG changes which were reported as positive. Overall pick-up rate of TMT is 68% and accuracy of positive tests is 76%. Strength of heart depends upon many other things and can be determined by ECHO and stress test both.
I would recommend to consult a good cardiologist before getting another investigation done.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
