Is Conception Possible While On Primolut-N?

Hii doctor.. since feb i m getting irrerugar periods.. i married and living together since 9 months and not pregnnt.. my gyne asked to hve Primoult n tablet for a day.. and i will get my period on 10th day.. after that on the 5th of my cycle to continue tablet for 21 days.. and to continue this for 3 months.. my question is when having this tablet for 21 days is there chance of getting pregnant..

Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
Primolut- N is an oral contraceptive. It acts by preventing ovulation.. thus making conception impossible. It also corrects irregular menstrual cycles . It has been given to you for regulating menstrual cycles & also rebound ovulation after the 3 months course is over ( thus helping conception).
So ofcourse there is no chance of conception while you use the pills ... the chance of conception increases after finishing the course.
Wait patiently & take 3 months course as advised. Use these months to maintain good health, taking tab. folic acid 5 mg daily ( by both sex partners) & getting physically & psychologically prepared for child bearing
