Is Aspirin A Good Alternative To Xarelto For Pulmonary Embolism?

Can you safely take asprin in place of the very expensive xarelto, if you have been diagnosed to have a pulmonary embolus? My son a healthy 18 year old, this no injuries. The only thing we can come up with is we were on a 4 hour flight in a seat you could not recline.

aspirinis antiplatelet not anticoagulant , so my answer would be no to aspirin instead of xarelto. U can use another anticoagulant like warfarin but it will require PT with INR monitoring.
