What Causes Pulmonary Embolism?

My wife has been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism recently and the Dr. Has prescribed xarelto for her . One tablet of 20 mg daily for one month . My wife is 34 years old,healthy, not on birth control for a very long time and no medical conditions. How bad is this condition? Thank you kindly,

You have problem of pulmonary embolism means blood clot in artery of lung.Most common cause is deep vein thrombosis.

Pulmonary embolism may cause heart problem.monitor a heart activity by ECG. Anticoagulant drugs taken to prevent further clot formation.Treatment plan depend on severity of disease.

You are taking xeralto that is anticoagulant drug use to prevent blood clot formation.
Follow your physician instruction.
