Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Anxiety Disorder, Related With Excessive Sleeping?
My 70 year old father was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and a bout of MS that attacked his brain (they think) all other tests were ok, blood work, prostate, etc. ok. Why is he sleeping all day and all night? This has been going on 6 years with no answers.
I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. You should know, people with anxiety disorders are supposed to loose their sleep. If your father is sleeping without any such problems, he is blessed. At 70, let him be blessed. He is able to sleep soundly because he has accepted that he is a human being and became wise. Love him more and more.
I can help you in this aspect. Psychotherapy techniques should suit your requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe the needed psychotherapy techniques.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications. Good luck.
