Is Accidental Swallowing Of Debrox Ear Wax Harmful?
Accidentally the debrox Ear wax cleaning solution had traveled Inside my grandma ear to her throat. There was only three drops that were administrared. She gargled her mouth and throat to clear the solution but still has a bitter taste in her mouth. She doesn t want to go to the hospital. Is there any side effects I should Watch out for?
Accidental swallowing of a few drops is not harmful. Debrox contains carbamide peroxide which may be harmful if ingested in large amount. However, the most common symptoms is irritation of the throat, vomiting or diarrhea. However, you should watch your grandma for difficult breathing, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. In that case, she needs immediate healthcare in the hospital. A small drink of water or milk usually is all that is needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
