Is A Rounded Hypoechoic SOL A Sign Of A Uterine Fibroid?
My wife has had a scan of ABDOMEN and PELVIS on 03-12-2016. In the report about Uterus, Uterus size: 7.25 cm in long axis - Anteverted, a rounded hypoechoic, SOL of 5.09 cm x 3.56 cm. Endometrial - 5.1 mm. Is this a Fibroid? Could you please advice what is this? how it will impact to my wife s health? Is there any serious thing? Thanks XXXX
Hi, I think it is a fibroid depending on the report. If your wife is having heavy bleeding during periods or pain during periods, it requires treatment. Many options are available, medical as well as surgical depending on your wife's age and severity of symptoms. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
