Is A Relation With A HPV Positive Woman Advisable?

I m 40 and want to get the HPV vaccine. Long story short my wife has been sober and celibate for over 23 months and has no interest in sex. My drinking buddy is a 23 year old (HPV positive) woman who wants to have sex with me... but I don t want to take the chance of bringing HPV home. Can I still get the vaccine

Hello,

Yes, you can get the vaccine as you explain the history, but first use a condom and after having the vaccine, wait for 2-3 weeks for it to be active with your immunity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
