Is A Procedure With The Use Of A Hysteroscope Required To Check The Cervical Lining Thickness?

I am a 56 yr old women and I ve just been recommended for a D&C and biopsy after my uterine ultrasound. The thickening measures 1.43cm and my doctor wants to take a better look with a hysto something tool that will be better procedure than the one he did in his office 4 months ago where all turned out normal. Hi,

The endometrial thickness is more than normal for your age. Hysteroscopy offers a better view of the uterus in expert hands. Get a proper preoperative checkup for fitness and get it done. Further management can be planned accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
