Is A Pinched Nerve Related With Numbness, Slurred Speech With Drooping?

About an hour ago, my mother just complained and asked if the left side of her face went numb. She has left sided numbness and speech is a little slurred, but her face isn't drooping. She is having no problems with mobility right now and is thinking coherently. She can say her daughter's names, dates of birth, where she is, ect...She says it's only a pinched nerve. Is this true? Is this not a stoke? I am really worried at the moment!
