Wow. thank you. I am recovering from hormone receptor positive breast cancer and am ready to go on aromatase inhibiters. Right now I am having a concern about a lump on the side of my throat . It is about the size of a quarter, feels like a swollen lymph node. How much should I worry about this--I see my oncologist in a little over a week and I was thinking about asking her to palpate it.

Is A Lump In The Throat A Cause For Concern?
Hi welcome to health care magic Yes you are right, consult your treating surgeon and he will palpate your swollen area and decide whether it is enlarged lymph node or else... If enlarged lymph node present it could be reactive lymph node enlargement or there might be metastasis to lymph node.... So from this enlarged lymph node FNAC can be taken to rule out its nature Depending on report further action can be taken Take care Hope this will help you
