Is Tylenol Intake Recommended For Relieving Pain After Undergoing Nissen Fundoplication?

I am scheduled for nissen fundiplication surgery. I am concerned because all the websites I have visited mention a 2 - 3 day hospital stay. I will be sent home with no stay. I am also very concerned about the pain following surgery, and the advice to take Tylenol for it. I feel certain that this is inadequate especially since I will be sent home the same day.

Hi,

Tylenol can be taken to relieve pain but most of the time is not enough for pain after procedures or surgeries. To help augment its effect and have a better cover for the pain you can combine it with Ibuprofen. You can talk to your doctor about the chance of having both Paracetamol and Ibuprofen for pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
