Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 74 yrs. old, had my thyroid glad removed when I was 18 due to slow growing cancer. My thyroid level has been a challenge over the years. Lately regular doctor has had trouble keeping the level at a comfortable place for almost a year. My TSH is around 7 right now. I am on Armour Thyroid, but not covered by insurances, so am forced to switch to Levothyroxine. (but will be finishing the Armour Thyroid - expensive - hate to throw it away) Not sure I am on the right track with my GP. So tired of the struggle, and feeling terrible. I might get better results with an endocrinologist. Thyroid adjustment is a difficult subject. email address: YYYY@YYYY
