Is Ornidazole The Right Medicine For Itching Sensation Around Anal Area?

Im 33 years old, two weeks back I had itching around anus particularly more during night time and after meal and I recognized that I had worm inside, and I consulted doctor and he prescribed Orni 500mg (ornidazole) for 5 days (2per day). after first course of tablet again I got same symptoms and doctor suggested same course of Tablet (Orni 500mg ) for 5 days.
He suggested to go for blood test (CBC ) and stool test if the problem did not solve after second course of tablet.
Still two more days to completed my second course of tablet and still I can say 60% of my problem covered
Please suggest me whether the prescription is correct and Im on the right track.

After reading your post, I would advise that if you have intestinal worms, you should do deworming by taking Albendazole 400 mg at night.
A stool test will be helpful.
