Hi, clonamox(Amoxycillin) syrup is safe in children and can be easily given. Although it causes some gastric problems in form of loose stools. For throat infection, it is the drug to start with in infants. Give it 125 mg three times a day for atleast 5 days. Along with it, Give syrup B complex 5 ml once daily. Also give syrup PCM 5 ml SOS whenever child has fever.
She should respond in next 48 hours. If the fever does not go down, Consult a pediatrician as she might have to be put on higher antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin or Cephalosporins.
Thanks and regards.
