Is Ayurveda Effective In Case Of Vitiligo?

hello doctor,
my name is tasleema from R.P of mauritius,am 34 yrs of age,60 kgs.i have been suffering from joint pains on my arm fro quite a long time.i took injections,cortisones,now it has side effects on me.am having vitiligo since a yr.and i dont know what to do cause friends told me that there is no cure.i am about to try ayurvedic herbals medicine,is it effective.i want to know if i have it on my legs is it possible that other patches appear on my face,waiting for your reply,thks.

vitiligo can be treated with ayurved .though complete cure cannot be garranteed the treatment leads to bringing back the orginal colour of the skin.also in your case stoppage of steroids may be of additional help.to arrest the spread of vitiligo panchkarma shodhan in must.then start with rakta shodhak and rakta pachak chikitsa.local application of bakuchi,khadir,chitrak,chakramarda in cow's urine [lepa]will help to regain the colour.but it is essential to follow all the pathya even if the symptoms of disease have vanished,as apathya may lead to recurrance.
