Is 25mcg Of Levothyroxine Effective In Treating High TSH Levels?

recently had a full physical and my TSH level was a 5.11 which doctor said is outide of normal range but not far. I having been generally not feeling well and experiencing frequent bouts of anxiety. he started me on .25 MCG levothroxine. will this help? does this sound correct?

I do agree with your treating physician. It is hypothyroidism and the symptoms may be due to it.
The dose is correct but you should check the TSH level after 6 weeks.
If it still persist high, you should increase the dose.
