Intend To Replace Non Hormonal Copper Foil. Is There A Sedative Method To Manage The Pain Better?

Hi, I had the non hormonal copper coil fitted two years ago. It's been the best thing ever! However I have three years left before it needs replacing and as I'm only 23 with no children and not married I will want another one put in to replace the old when the time comes. However, the pain getting the coil fitted has made me so anxious about going again it's taken over my thoughts almost daily (even though its three years away!). I wanted to know if there is the opportunity open to me to have it replaced under sedation or general anaesthetic. I literally CAN'T go through that pain again, its been two years and I still haven't forgotten the excruciating pain. and I have a HIGH pain threshold.

I hope you can help me

Greetings of the day
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic

Copper T devices are usually placed and removed as a out patient procedure without sedation.

The wishes of the patients are to be respected, so you can bring the wish of getting it done under sedation with your obstetricians who
might consider it doing the way you want.

I hope it helped
Take care
