Inflamed Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area. Have Chills, No Fever. History Of Diverticulitis. What To Do?
my son went to the doctor two weeks ago with what he thought was a hernia on his lower left side close to his groin area. the doctor at the college said it was inflamed lymph notes... not worry take pain killers. well, the sight has grown to the size of an egg and still very painful. now he has chills but no fever. he has a doctor appt tomorrow at 1 with a gastro for a so called previous diagnosed Diverdiqulities..(wrong spelling). What should he do now.
Generally hernia is reducible & increases with coughing. There is no associated chills ,fever or rigors in hernia.Looking at your details it should be inflamed lymph nodes at groin.Check the reason for there enlargement. These are generally enlarged due to infection or problem in lower limb or problem at the genital area. Your details does not show any intake of any antibiotic while this is necessary. So please take the antibiotic preparation on prescription of your doctor.
Hope this will help you & add in his faster recovery.
With best wishes.
