Infant With Small Round Bump Inside Belly Button. History Of Having Rashes On Back On The Day Of Bump Appearance. Thoughts?

One year old has small round bump inside of her belly button. Does not seem to be painful. Her doctor doesn't know what it is and suggested to wait it out and see if it goes away. She has only had it for a few days. I am concerned as to what it may be. She had a rash up her back the same day the bump appeared, I don't know if it is related but the rash has gone for the most part.

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

The bumps as described by you in belly button are likely to be fungal infection in children. There is no cause of concern as you have already mentioned majority of it is healing.Local allocation of anti fungal and steroid ointment will be helpful.

Wishing you and your family a very healthy life

Take care
