Hi.. CMV infection during pregnancy can be treated with passive immunisation by means of administering immunoglobins against CMV virus.. Apart from this a good personal hygeine in the form of washing hands regularly is essential to prevent the episode of CMV infection.. Following delivery, treatment can be assited by antiviral therapy.. Recently vaccination has been developed.. Though the efficacy of the vaccination is unknown, its usage can be recommended in high risk cases and if no other contrindicatory factors are associated...
