I Have Mild Asthma But Have Had More Triggers Lately

I have mild asthma but have had more triggers lately than usual. I wondered if I had a sinus infection as I started feeling bad almost one wk ago with post nasal drip and then heavy chest, tiredness and difficulty breathing. I am not feeling that much better and think I may need help. I have an internist who I saw a few months ago with the same symptoms and he reluctantly gave me an antibiotic (as I didn't have a fever) which eventually eradicated my symptoms. Now I am having similar symptoms and don't know what to do. I am not getting better. Should I see the same internist or an ENT dr? This asthma that keeps me in my bed indefinitely occurs maybe twice a year and now I have a dr that I have to convince that I'm sick. I welcome any suggestions, but really don't want to go to emergency rm. thank you.
