I Developed A Dry Cough And When I Laid Down To Sleep I Had Trouble Breathing, Is This Flu ?

Last night I developed a dry cough and when I laid down to sleep I had trouble breathing. This morning I woke up with a sore throat and aches in my legs and back. Throughout the day my headache has gotten worse, when I move my eyes it is painful, my neck is stiff, and I am just generally weak. What could this be? And is there any medicine I could take to help?

Hi,

The symptoms you have described appears to be a viral infection. Take Paracetamol 650 mg. if you are above 18 years of age. Saline nasal drops, followed by steam inhalation and drink plenty of warm water. Take bed rest for 2-3 days, if the symptoms do not subside, please do consult your physician.

Regards

Dr. Naveen Kumar
