How To Wean Off Of Lexapro?

I have been taking 10 mg Lexapro for almost a year. Is there a way to safely stop taking it without major withdrawal problems. When I miss a dosage for a day I experience headache and joint pain that is worse than my normal daily joint pain due to osteoarthritis.

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
Usually lexapro does not cause withdrawl effects.
But if you are facing withdrawl effects, you can reduce the dose of lexapro to 5mg for next few months. Then you can stop.

Or other way is to stop the drug immediately. The withdrawl symptoms usually disappear in 5-7 days in most cases. You can take painkillers in these to reduce the pain.

You can opt for either way depebding on your suitability.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
