General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Fortwin injection is composed of 'pentazocine', which is an analgesic medication used to treat moderate to severe pain.

Since it is an opioid pain medication, it may cause life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. It needs to be tapered slowly and then stopped completely.

Hence, this needs to be done under strict medical supervision. Kindly consult Physician in this regard for appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
