Hi,

According to your history you might have used many cycles of antibiotics by this time, so the possible steps that can help you are:
- Sometimes physiological discharge can be mistaken for pathological discharge. Physiological discharge usually will be like watery or mucoid with absence of foul smell or associated features like is itching, redness, etc.

Consistency of the physiological discharge sometimes can change due to the influence of dominant reproductive hormone of that particular period of menstrual cycle. So before treatment the pathological nature of the discharge should be confirmed.
- Using a vaginal wash with pH around 3.5 to 4.5 can help in maintaining the local vaginal flora and thereby will decrease the risk of pathological vaginal discharge.
- Vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity can help in finding the actual causative organism and its sensitivity to the drugs, if local and systemic antibiotics are taken according to this there is possibility of treating the infection.
- Both the partners should be treated simultaneously to prevent future cross infections

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
