General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Ulcerative colitis treatment modality will depend on the extent of the involvement of the intestine.
You have require long term management.
You can take mesacol suppository or enema if UC involve mainly distal part of the intestine.
You can also take biological therapy like TNF inhibitor
Take lactobacillus capsule
Tablet revital
Take healthy diet and avoid excessive fiber intake.
You can also take Fecal microbiota transplant: it is a relatively new treatment option for IBD
If drugs will not responds then ileostomy or proctocolectomy
Hope this may help you
