How To Treat Sore Calves At Night?

Yes - please. My husband gets very sore leg calves which cause him a lot of pain - especially at night when he goes to bed. He has tried massage, applied magnesium lotions and deep heat type creams - but nothing seems to get to the source of the problem. Any suggestions

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your husband's problem can be due to low calcium levels or changes in electrolytes or low vitamin D 3 or b12. Blood levels of these should be assessed. If any of these is low it should be supplemented. That will help to normalize your husband's problem. Cover the legs with socks and blankets to avoid getting colder.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
