How To Treat Orthostatic Hypo Tension?

I just learned today that my 89 year old mother s heart in pumping at 20-25%. She has multiple myeloma and recently was diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension. Her blood pressure drops so low at times, she passes out. What can I do when her blood pressure drops (I can t move her) and what is the prognosis for someone with only 20-25% heart functioning?

Hello
Welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting your query.
I understand your concerns.

Heart functioning only 20 to 25% is a very fragile heart. She should not do any strenuous work. She should take rest as much as possible. She should not exert. Otherwise her heart won't tolerate such things.

Whenever her blood pressure drops down, you make her lay down on the floor and elevate her legs for few minutes.

Hope you are happy with the answer.

Thank you
