My 13 yr old has migraines and is on Topimax for them last night he said he had a headache that isn't like the normal ones. He also said he was nauseated and there was a popping noise in his head. His medicine hasn't made it go away and it woke him up all night. Should he be seen?
Topimax is given for migraine proplylaxis along with it if there is an acute episode of headache you need to take painkillers like paracetamol or naproxen or suminat. Also you need to see what are the triggering factors common in each episode of headache like some food, stress, lack of sleep etc and try to avoid those triggers. Meet your physician for more advice. thanks
