my 17month old son has spray dettol into his eyes. I have irrigated them throughly with water, I even tried some milk and have been applying chlorsig ointment. 1 eye is still very red, watery and he is rubbing it. This happened about 8 hrs ago. I have given him panadol to help with pain/irritation. What else can I do?
Hi Irrigation and washing already done, now one should start using lubricating drops or tear substitutes along with one antibiotic ointment e.g. neosporin eye ointment. One anti histaminic syrup e.g.allegra 1 tsf a day for short period may be of help. Hope he will be ok soon.
