How To Treat Cold Sores On My Lips?

i have what appears to be cold sores on my lower lip and also on the upper. they will dry up and then skin will peel. however, they seem to break out every time I eat. I have used anti bacterial ointment on them and that seems to help. do I have a fungus? Carmex, abreeva, etc. only burns and makes the breakout really bad

Thanks for using health Care Magic.

Read your query.

Cold sores are viral infection.
You can apply Mucogel to alleviate the pain caused by it and reduce spicy foods if you have it.

Since you are already using Carmea and abreeva and they are not reducing ,you may need some oral tablets.

Please consult your dentist or a ENT surgeon and get the required medication.

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks and regards.
