How To Treat Bruised Foot?

Hi, 5 days ago I bruised myself wearing a ankle boot without socks all day. The zipper make a bad bruise and a small piece of skin came off near the front of my leg. It looked like a little hole but, since than I have put aloe and peroxide and I put a bandaid on it. It is red around the bruise. I took off the bandaid so that it could dry up, but it still has a redness around the bruise and it is taking awhile to heal. What should I do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems to be a small laceration that has occurred due to tearing off a small piece of skin and it has led to inflammation and bruising..
I would suggest you to clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply a combination of Steroid and Triple Antibiotic Ointment over it..
You can also do cool compresses over it..
In case if the symptoms does not improve consult a General Physician and get evaluated and he can advise you antibiotics like Trimethoprim and Chlormethoxazole..
You can also take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
