I have blocked nose and suffer from sinucitis. I have been taking mizollen tablets over several years, lately situation worsen and have been using otrivin as the only relief for breathing any alternative suggestions on along term solution be greatly appreciated
As per your query you have symptoms of blocked nose due to sinusitis i.e infection in the sinuses in which lining gets inflamed and if the sinus become inflamed and produce mucus due to which there is difficulty in breathing and blockage. I would suggest you to first of all consult ENT specialist for proper treatment of sinusitis, as infection will lower your immunity. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin) for at least 10 days. take combination of decongestants and nasal sprays. Go for steam inhalation as that is best effective way. Sip warm water whole day. do warm saline gargles. Maintain oral hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
