A comprehensive stool culture was done because of an unexplained weight loss of 20lbs. Normal weight 110lbs now 90. Culture showed elevated Morganella morganite and proteus mirabilis both 4+ and Candida albicans/dubliniensis of 1+. I am experiencing multiple sensitivities to foods and reacted to over 45 on a blood test. I have multiple autoimmune problems( celiac, graves : post radioactive iodine, pernicious anemia and Sjögren s, fibromyalgia ) I have been sick for a year ,no weight gain despite 2200 a day diet of no allergic whole organic food and meat. I was recently put on Plaqinel by rheumatologist which seems to aggravate my ongoing digestive symptoms( gas, bloating, foul smelling stools, IBS , pain) Should the bacterial overgrowth be treated and how?
