How To Treat Ankle Swelling And Instability After Undergoing Lumpectomy?
I recently switched from arimidex to femara because of bursitis in my right hip. Since that time, with PT, the bursitis has eased. I can now walk without aid. But now there is a different problem. My ankles(both) have started swelling & I have stability problems walking. The treatment was for stage one breast cancer, no chemo just radiation after a lumpectomy. What else is there I can take to suppress estrogen but will not give me extreme side effects?Nancy Long

swelling could be due to some circulatory disturbances may be due to malignant disease of radiation and this need to be ruled out, low hemoglobin may be the cause, keep the limb in elevated position, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day.
