Yes thank you My husband was given a prescription of Ranitidine 300mg....it is an oval shaped yellow hard capsule....Is this the way it is supposed to look...because when I tried to refill it on the walmart pharmacy line the RX number belonged to someone with another name....this is scary...especially since he has still been having acid reflux badly even after taking this med for 30 days...how can I identify if this is really the correct medication...also the pill has IP 254 written on it....can u please help?

Hello,

I understand your concern. The yellow tablets your husband has been taking with the IP 254 incsreiotion on them are indeed Ranitidine 300 mg. So no need for concern there. However, if you husband has not seen any relief in his reflux after using these tablets. I recommend he gets a prescription for Omeprazole. If Omeprazole does not resolve his symptoms either, he should undergo tests to determine the underlying cause.
I hope he feels better soon. All the best.
