hi doctor my wife is 1 and a half months pregnant, and we dont want a baby.will you recommend me any medicine that she can use, and that is easily available without prescription.p.s Im from Pakistan. Please tell me a drug that is available worldwide

Since she is only 6 weeks pregnant she can go for medical abortion. It is important that she is seen and examined by doctor to make sure that the pregnancy is in the uterus and she has no contraindication for the medications.
Medical abortion is 95% efficient.She needs to take mifepristone 600 miligrams first and 48 hrs later misoprostol 800micrograms vaginally or sublingually. About 2-5% of women abort with mifepristone alone and 80% of women abort within 24 hours of taking misoprostol. The remaining women take more time.
If she develops heavy bleeding or if the bleeding persists for more than 2 weeks she must see the doctor.
Your next regular period is expected within 6 weeks after abortion. If you do not have a period within 6 weeks you must consult your doctor
